Scope and formation of contract
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are general terms and conditions within the meaning of § 305 BGB. They govern your use of the Hypno4Life® website and all services booked through it, including individual sessions, H4L Progress Packages™, workshops, seminars and group events. They form a binding agreement between you ("you", "Client") and Hypno4Life®, proprietor Jorrit Joosse.
These Terms become part of the contract when you accept them during the booking process. You can view, download and print them at any time at www.hypno4life.com/terms-conditions. We recommend you save a copy together with your booking confirmation; we do not store the contract text in a form separately retrievable by you.
Formation. The presentation of services on the website and in the booking system does not constitute a binding offer. By completing the booking process and clicking the order button, you make a binding offer to enter into a contract. The contract is concluded when we confirm your booking by email.
Language. These Terms are provided in English. Where a version in another language is published, the language in which the contract is concluded governs that contract.
Individually negotiated arrangements. H4L Elite™ and any other bespoke engagement agreed by individual contract are governed by that contract and not by these Terms. Where an individually negotiated term conflicts with these Terms, the individually negotiated term prevails (§ 305 Abs. 1 S. 3 BGB).
Additional terms may apply to specific workshops, group events or training programmes. Where additional terms exist they complement — and do not replace — these Terms. In the event of conflict, the additional terms take precedence for the specific service to which they apply.
1. Services
Hypno4Life® offers personal development services including one-to-one hypnotherapy sessions, H4L Progress Packages™ (structured multi-session programmes), Alignment Calls, and group events such as workshops and seminars. Sessions are delivered online via video call and, where available, in person.
Services use hypnotherapy techniques, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and other evidence-informed modalities. They are intended to support clients in achieving personal goals. They are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. Hypno4Life® is a coaching practice; it does not diagnose, treat or cure any medical or psychiatric condition, and does not provide services reserved to medical practitioners, psychotherapists or Heilpraktiker under the Heilpraktikergesetz.
Hypno4Life® may decline or discontinue a service where it falls outside its scope of practice, or where a client’s circumstances make it inadvisable to proceed. The client will be informed as early as possible and any applicable refunds issued in accordance with Section 3.
2. Fees and Payment
2.1 Payment
All sessions and packages are paid in full at the time of booking. No booking is confirmed without prior payment. Payment in instalments is not available unless expressly agreed in writing.
2.2 Prices and invoicing
All prices shown are final prices. As a small business under § 19 UStG, Hypno4Life® does not charge or show value added tax. A receipt or invoice is issued at the time of purchase and sent by email.
2.3 Price changes
Hypno4Life® may adjust its fees. Changes apply only to bookings made after the change takes effect and never to a booking already concluded.
2.4 Discounts and promotional pricing
Prices may include temporary discounts or promotional pricing which may expire without further notice. Hypno4Life® may withdraw or modify any promotion at its discretion, with no effect on bookings already concluded.
2.5 Alignment Call credit
Clients who book a standalone Alignment Call and purchase an H4L Progress Package™ within 30 days of that call receive a discount voucher equal to the cost of the Alignment Call, redeemable against the package price. All packages include an Alignment Call, and this credit ensures clients do not pay for the same call twice. The voucher is issued by email and must be applied at the time of package purchase; it cannot be redeemed retroactively.
3. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling
This section governs the contractual cancellation terms and the voluntary money-back guarantee. It is separate from, and does not limit, your statutory right of withdrawal under Section 10 and Annex I.
All times refer to the scheduled start time of the relevant session. Cancellation and reschedule requests must be submitted via the link in your booking confirmation. Verbal or informal requests are not valid.
3.1 Individual sessions — cancellation
You may cancel an individual session and receive a full refund provided the cancellation is received at least 48 hours before the scheduled start. Cancellations received later than that are non-refundable, subject to Section 3.12.
3.2 Individual sessions — rescheduling
You may reschedule free of charge provided the request is received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start. Later requests cannot be guaranteed and are at the discretion of Hypno4Life®.
3.3 Individual sessions — no-shows
If you do not attend without prior notice, the session is forfeited, subject to Section 3.12.
3.4 H4L Progress Packages™ — 14-day money-back guarantee
Hypno4Life® offers a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, in addition to your statutory right of withdrawal. If you decide within this period that a package is not right for you, you may request a full refund regardless of whether sessions have been scheduled. After the 14 days have lapsed the guarantee ends and packages are non-refundable, subject to Section 3.12; remaining sessions stay available within the applicable validity period. This guarantee does not affect your statutory right of withdrawal, which is set out in Section 10 and Annex I and cannot be shortened by these Terms.
3.5 H4L Progress Packages™ — shortened guarantee window
If you schedule your first package session within the 14-day guarantee period, the guarantee ends 48 hours before that first session where that is earlier. You will be asked to acknowledge this when scheduling.
Example: you purchase a package on 1 June. The guarantee would normally run to 15 June. If you book your first session for 10 June, the guarantee ends on 8 June.
This shortening applies to the voluntary guarantee only. Your statutory right of withdrawal is unaffected and continues to run as set out in Annex I.
3.6 H4L Progress Packages™ — rescheduling
Sessions within a package may be rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start. Sessions missed without at least 24 hours’ notice are deducted from the package, subject to Section 3.12.
3.7 H4L Progress Packages™ — no-shows
If you do not attend a scheduled package session without prior notice, that session is deducted from the package, subject to Section 3.12.
3.8 H4L Progress Packages™ — validity
Each package has a validity period within which the included sessions must be taken. The period applying to your package is shown on the package page and in the booking system before you purchase, and is confirmed in your booking confirmation. Validity periods may differ between packages and may change for future bookings; the period confirmed at the time of your purchase governs your booking. Where you are prevented from using your sessions within the period for reasons such as illness, injury, bereavement or unavoidable absence, Hypno4Life® will extend the period on reasonable request.
3.9 Workshops, seminars and group events
Specific cancellation terms will be communicated at booking and confirmed in writing. Where none are provided, a full refund applies if cancellation is requested at least 7 days before the event; later cancellations are non-refundable, subject to Section 3.12. Hypno4Life® may cancel or reschedule a group event, in which case all registered participants are offered a full reschedule or a full refund.
3.10 Cancellation by Hypno4Life®
If Hypno4Life® cancels a session you will be notified as soon as reasonably practicable and offered either a full reschedule at a mutually agreed time at no additional cost, or a full refund of the affected session (or a pro-rata refund of the relevant session within a package). In cases of force majeure — including illness, accident or circumstances outside reasonable control — the same options apply; Hypno4Life® may propose rescheduling first where a suitable alternative can be offered within a reasonable timeframe, but you are not obliged to accept it in place of a refund.
3.11 Refund processing
Refunds under this Section are processed within 14 days of confirmation, via the original payment method where possible. Refunds following a withdrawal under Section 10 are processed within 14 days of receipt of your withdrawal notice.
3.12 Your right to show a lower loss
Where Sections 3.1, 3.3, 3.6, 3.7 or 3.9 provide that a fee is retained or a session forfeited, you remain entitled to demonstrate that Hypno4Life® incurred no loss, or a loss substantially lower than the amount retained. Where you do so, the amount retained is reduced accordingly.
4. Client Information and Confidentiality
To deliver services safely and effectively, Hypno4Life® asks clients to provide accurate information about their goals, health background and relevant personal circumstances through the intake process. Providing accurate information about relevant physical and mental health conditions is a contractual obligation on the client, because it determines whether a service can responsibly be delivered. This information is used solely to assess suitability and guide sessions.
All client information is treated with strict professional confidentiality and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law, or where there is a serious risk to the safety of the client or another person. Where disclosure is legally required, Hypno4Life® will notify the client in advance where practicable.
How your personal data is processed — including health information — is governed by the Privacy Policy, which sets out the legal basis for each processing activity.
If Hypno4Life® and a client have entered into a separate non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement, that agreement prevails. In its absence, confidential information includes all financial, technical and personal information disclosed by either party that is designated as confidential or should reasonably be treated as such. Neither party will disclose, reproduce or transfer the other’s confidential information to any third party without prior written consent, except as required to fulfil the agreed services.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Hypno4Life® website — including text, graphics, photographs, audio materials and software — is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights owned by or licensed to Hypno4Life®. "Hypno4Life" is a registered European Union trade mark (EUTM 019138078). No content may be reproduced, republished, distributed, transmitted or otherwise exploited without prior written consent.
Each party retains all rights, title and interest in their own intellectual property. Hypno4Life® retains all intellectual property rights in the services, methodologies and materials it creates or uses in delivering services. Clients retain all intellectual property rights in the personal information and materials they provide.
6. Marketing and Media Use
Nothing in this Section operates as consent. Consent to any use described here is given separately, is always optional, and is never a condition of booking or receiving a service.
6.1 Photography and filming at group events
Photographs and video recordings may be taken at in-person group events such as workshops, retreats and seminars. Where this is planned, you will be asked at registration whether you consent to appearing in such material. If you do not consent, you may attend on exactly the same terms and will not be photographed or filmed. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future by emailing legal@hypno4life.com; material already published will be removed where this is reasonably possible.
6.2 One-to-one sessions
One-to-one sessions are never recorded, filmed or photographed without your separate prior written consent, given for that specific purpose.
6.3 Testimonials and case studies
Hypno4Life® will not identify you as a client, publish a testimonial attributed to you, or describe your case in marketing material unless you have given separate, specific and explicit written consent for that use. Any such consent will state what is published and in what form, is voluntary, and may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Hypno4Life® will not make inaccurate claims about outcomes or misrepresent a client’s experience.
6.4 Marketing communications
Marketing email is sent only where you have subscribed, and every message contains an unsubscribe link.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Hypno4Life® takes the privacy and security of your personal data seriously. The collection, use, storage and protection of your personal information is governed by the Hypno4Life® Privacy Policy.
By booking a service you confirm that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Privacy Policy on matters of data protection, the Privacy Policy prevails.
8. Disclaimer
The information on the Hypno4Life® website is provided for general informational purposes only. While Hypno4Life® endeavours to keep it accurate and up to date, no warranty is given as to completeness, accuracy or fitness for purpose. Any reliance you place on website content is at your own risk.
The website may contain links to third-party websites over which Hypno4Life® has no control. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement. Hypno4Life® accepts no responsibility for the content, availability or practices of third-party sites.
All prices published on the website are subject to correction in the event of typographical or programming errors. No contract is established on the basis of such an error.
9. Liability
9.1 Hypno4Life® is liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health; for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence; under the Produkthaftungsgesetz; and where a guarantee has been given.
9.2 For simple negligence, Hypno4Life® is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
9.3 Any further liability is excluded.
9.4 The limitations in 9.2 and 9.3 apply equally to the personal liability of Hypno4Life®’s employees, representatives and agents.
9.5 Client responsibilities. Hypnosis is designed to produce a relaxed and receptive state of mind. If you do not wish to experience such a state, do not participate. You are required to inform Hypno4Life® of any relevant physical or mental health condition before a session or event, and to seek medical advice first where a condition may be affected by participation. Hypno4Life® may decline to proceed on that basis. Nothing in this paragraph limits Hypno4Life®’s liability under 9.1.
10. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
As a consumer, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days without giving reasons. The full statutory instruction is set out in Annex I, and a model withdrawal form is provided in Annex II.
10.1 Services beginning during the withdrawal period. If you wish a session or package to begin before the withdrawal period ends, you must expressly request this and acknowledge the consequences at the time of booking. Where you do so, your right of withdrawal expires once the service has been supplied in full. Until then the right continues, and if you withdraw you owe a proportionate amount for the services already provided (§ 357 Abs. 8 BGB) — for a package, calculated on the sessions delivered as a share of the sessions booked.
10.2 Where no such request is made. Where you do not request early performance, no session will be scheduled before the withdrawal period has expired.
10.3 Relationship to the money-back guarantee. The 14-day money-back guarantee in Section 3.4 is a voluntary commercial commitment offered in addition to this right. Where the two differ, whichever is more favourable to you applies.
10.4 Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory applicable law.
11. Amendments and Termination
Hypno4Life® may amend these Terms. The current version is always available at www.hypno4life.com/terms-conditions. Changes take effect from the date of publication and apply only to bookings made after that date; bookings made earlier are governed by the Terms in force at the time of booking.
Where a client is in serious breach of these Terms, or where a client’s conduct makes continued delivery unreasonable, Hypno4Life® may suspend or terminate the provision of services. Fees for services not yet delivered will be refunded, unless the breach itself caused the loss.
12. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
12.1 These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where you are a consumer habitually resident in another state, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of that state.
12.2 Where you are a merchant, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, or where you have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, or where you move your domicile or habitual residence outside Germany after conclusion of the contract, the courts of Berlin have exclusive jurisdiction. In all other cases the statutory rules on jurisdiction apply.
12.3 Litigation should be a last resort. Both parties will attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through direct communication before initiating proceedings.
12.4 Hypno4Life® is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).

Annex I — Instruction on withdrawal
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day of conclusion of the contract.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us — Hypno4Life®, Jorrit Joosse, Rollbergstraße 28A, 12053 Berlin, Germany, telephone +49 30 68083686, email legal@hypno4life.com — of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form in Annex II, but this is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested that the provision of services begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Expiry of the right of withdrawal
Your right of withdrawal expires in the case of a contract for the provision of services where we have fully performed the service and only began performance after you gave your express consent and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal upon complete performance of the contract.
